Petrolia Discovery
This operational historic oilfield located on a 60 acre site is a living museum pumping oil using 'jerker lines' just as it was done in the 1850s. The Fitzgerald rig is the largest of its kind in the world. The oil industry started in Lambton County, not Pensylvannia nor Alberta; it was right here.
Victoria Playhouse Petrolia
A fully equipped, state of the art theatre resides in Historic Victoria Hall. Professional theatre delivers a summer of sparkling entertainment with six sensational productions.
Petrolia Community Theatre
Members of the community and surrounding areas mount two shows during the year: Spring and Christmas. There are also murder mysteries, vignettes, historical sketches and plays also going on.
Golf Course
Petrolia is home of the oldest privately built golf course created by Jacob Englehart after a visit to Scotland in approximately 1895. The original six holes remain virtually unchanged. The course was expanded to 18 holes in 2001.
Petrolia Heritage Committee
Learn about oil, architecture, ancestors, sports and much more. The heritage committee works to preserve the historical architecture of the town with a successful "Downtown Facade Program".

There is a lot that makes this town unique! Petrolia has more parks per population than any other town! The new Oil Heritage District Community Centre offers swimming, workouts, events, camps and activities for all ages. The hospital, located right in Petrolia, was donated to the town by an oil baron.
